The Water Cycle
Today in science class we did an experiment to show how precipitation is formed.
We actually made it rain in our house!

First we boiled water in a tea kettle to create a cloud of warm air. Next we held a pan full of ice, that represented cold air, over the steam. When the warm air and the cold air joined condensation formed and it started to rain.

It was interesting to learn that water starts in the Ocean and ends in the Ocean. Here is a verse that I learned with my lesson "All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full". Ecclesiastes 1:7

Looks like fun Jordy girl!
Maybe I'll have to make rain with the boys here.
:)
See you soon!
We do something fun here in MN when it is REALLY, REALLY cold. I boil water on the stove and then take the boiling water outside. I throw it up in the air and the water turns into vapor. It's pretty neat.
I'll have to try the rain experiment.
Looks really fun. But hey, raining in the HOUSE? I hope you didn't have puddles!
Sounds fun, Jordyn! Thanks for posting it on your blog!
that is so cool! sounds like you guys are having fun!
Maybe that is how I could get it to rain here in socal. THanks for the tip! ha
